A Weekend Walk That Changed Everything
In 2023, Tarun Chandna was on his morning walk through a park in Sector 62, Noida, when he noticed something troubling — where there had once been a row of mature trees, there were now only stumps. The municipal corporation had cleared them for a construction project, and nobody seemed to care.
That weekend, Tarun gathered six friends and they went back with 20 saplings they had purchased with their own money. Passers-by stopped to watch, some asked questions, and three of them rolled up their sleeves and joined. By the end of the morning, all 20 saplings were in the ground, and an idea had taken root too.
